loy krathon festival

I went to the thai temple to check out the loy krathong festival. People launch lotus shaped vessels (krathong) in the palm river to wash away their bad luck. Prior to launching they light the candle and incense and make a wish. It is considered good luck if the krathong floats away from them. To find out more about the temple click here.

I tried to take some pics but most came out blurry. Surprisingly, its hard to take photos at night. I'll post the few pics that came out ok.

day trip

The pictures are starting to get redundant but I just cant help myself!! Here are some from our day trip to the beach today.

feeling thankful

This year's thanksgiving was spent at my parent's house. My mom cooked a delicious meal which included home made gravy. I was thoroughly impressed and so were my taste buds.

As awesome as the thanksgiving dinner was- there is something way more IMPORTANT that needs to be reported. There is a new cute addition to the family....

Meet ALFI!!

He is a sweet little yorkie  and I am so happy that he has found a new loving home! My parents will spoil the little guy but who wouldn't?

"You must have the courage of your convictions.” -Julia Child

I found this review article that talked about the 10 most representative episodes of Julia's cooking show. Although it does not relate to photography, I love her perseverance and passion about cooking and that is always inspirational.

tarpon springs

It was too cold for this Floridian to hang out at the beach and wait for the sunset but I did capture a few beachy day pics.
