fair is a carnival

Anytime anyone in my 8th grade class said that something wasn't fair my teacher would say that fair is a carnival. Whenever I hear the word fair I cant help but to think about that. Life sometimes really isn't fair but it goes on anyway. Just like the fair. It always goes on- even though it is a weird weird place. And its funny to think about it but, I can't think of anything more American than the fair. Does that make America a weird weird place?

Viscaya

It is hard to self edit when I have hundreds of pics. I tried to narrow it down but I think this is still my most content heavy post. I know, I know...how many pics of leaves can someone put up? But the way I see it, there can never be enough nature photography on the internet. Pretty pics never hurt anyone ;)

These were taken in Viscaya and it was so nice to hang out in the beautiful garden and practice. The next post will be the "flower collection". I am still recooperating from Miami so I won't be posting that today but check back soon!

miami deco

Miami is an interesting town. Especially South Beach, which has definitely seen better days. Everything seemed a bit dilapidated and old. I don't know if that is supposed to be charming but I can't say I was very impressed. We only stayed in south beach for one night but it was a long and sleepless night. The walls must have been made of paper since we could hear the music blaring from the club right under us until 5 am. I did manage to find the cheapest (and per Chris, haunted) hotel in south beach so I guess ultimately there was a price to pay. That spanish club music is still stuck in my head...

So, I don't think we will be going to Ocean Drive for a while but there were other places that I enjoyed. I took a "few" pics and will try to upload more soon.
