Last week we took a trip to the Hillsborough River State Park, a nature sanctuary in North Tampa that perfectly captures Florida's natural beauty. The park, as the name suggests, runs along the Hillsborough River and is virtually untouched, save for a few picnic areas. Florida "scrub" abounds, and the branches of the state's classic cypress trees jut out over the river. In my photos above, I've tried to capture these long, beautiful cypress branches. If you are in the area, take a trip to the park. It will serve as a good reminder of how all of us are responsible for preserving the natural elements of our own surroundings.
