Like with any endeavour, I need to set a goal so I can stay motivated and interested in photography. I love taking pictures and capturing the moment or place but there really needs to be more. I have decided that for 2013 I will submit my best photo to the National Geographics photo contest. They just announced the 2012 winner (and I am pretty sure I can recreate the following photo with my cat and as you might have noticed I tried the pose with the dog in a previous post)...

Just kidding about recreating it with the cat. The cat is cute but the most nature he will see in his life is from our condo balcony. But I digress...there were over 22,000 world-wide photo contributions so chances of winning are slim but there is a chance! So wish me luck as I embark on the new year with a goal of capturing a Nat Geo winning photo ;)
