ecofiltro
I am in the process of writing my paper for my class...and decided to stop and start blogging. Procrastinating...
In Guatemala, my class went on a tour of a factory that makes water filters and it was pretty eye opening. It's easy to take our clean tap water for granted. In many countries, people don't have access to clean water and the bacteria and microorganisms that live in the water make the people, especially the kids, very sick. So luckily, there are organizations such as Ecofiltro that help families get access to clean water. They make these filters with clay and the little black line that runs through the middle is carbon that actually cleans the water. Any water that runs through these filters is then drinkable. It's pretty awesome. Feel free to check out the website and watch their cool videos...I don't think my description does it justice.
And you know where this is heading...if you want to donate (only $35 dollars!!!)...just click here. It will make you feel good!
